My first bake, a Sophie Dahl Orange cake, which to my surprise was a huge success. My love for baking quickly became my escape, the thing that took my head off everyday pressures. I’m completely self-taught, learning from YouTube videos, but I always have to put my own spin on things.

What started as a passion, baking for my own children and now, my wonderful grandkids, soon grew. With every cake I shared with friends and family, my confidence blossomed, and that confidence sparked a dream: to create a place that felt like home; a proper local cake shop right here in our community.

In 2018, Sally’s Cake Emporium opened its doors, and that dream became a reality! I'll be honest, some days it felt as though I’d opened a can of worms I couldn’t control. But seven years on, thanks to this incredible community, we’re still here, baking and growing.

Something that sets us apart is our belief in quality over quantity, always using the best ingredients. Real butter, local free-range eggs, Belgian chocolate, and seasonal fruits. We never use packet mixes or shortcuts, just honest, quality baking. Each cake is made from scratch with patience and care in our shop, so you can taste the difference with every bite. Joy, every time.
